Exotic Animal Issues If you have a captive-raised exotic animal in need of permanent refuge, please complete an animal adoption questionnaire and we will respond with further information and/or instructions as quickly as possible. If we are not able to help the animal(s) you are inquiring about, we will do our best to help find an alternative solution. Orphaned, Sick, Injured or Nuisance Native Wildlife Issues We are not a licensed, or equipped, to assist with native-born "wild" animals. The Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) advises that "the apparent lack of an adult does not mean a young animal is alone. Adults often leave their young safe in nests or dens while they forage for food but rarely are they abandoned. If a young animal is found, leave it alone. The adult will return when the area is clear." For inquiries about local/native wildlife, or to locate an Indiana licensed wildlife rehabber, we recommend exploring the Indiana Department of Natural Resources web site to locate resources and options. Employment When paid positions are available, they will be posted here. Visitor / Program Inquiries If you cannot find the information needed on this web site to help you with your inquiries about visiting or having us provide an educational program, please call our office at (260) 636-7383. We may not always be available to answer your call in person, so please leave a detailed message on the voicemail system and at least 24 hours for someone to return your call. Thank you. Fill out our online form.
