Our 4th annual benefit wine tasting is coming to Black Pine on Saturday, June 22! New this year we welcome one of northeast Indiana's finest winemakers, Country Heritage Winery, to the tasting tables! Reserve soon, this event is popular and we may sell out in advance!
Spring Break Tours!
Limited time offer! Black Pine will be conducting guided tours during spring break, April 1-5, 2013, beginning at 1:30 p.m. each day! Join us for a special pre-season tour! Sorry, no leisure wandering of the site, these are strictly guided tours with a member of our staff, beginning promptly at 1:30 p.m. and lasting about two hours. Please don't be late! No reservations necessary. Just be here, and join us! Ages 2 and under free, ages 3 and up just $5.00 per person.

Black Pine's student internship program offers an extraordinary opportunity to young adults (college-enrolled or graduates) pursuing careers in zoology, animal behavior, veterinary science, biology, and other animal-related fields to gain practical hands-on experience. Mamie is home.
Black Pine sent a transport team to Ripley, OH on February 18 to meet "Mamie" and begin her journey to the sanctuary where she will spend the REST of her life.
We extend our thanks to Outreach for Animals and the Tri-State CART exotics team for their assistance in facilitating a happy end to a very long, sad story for Mamie and her late mate, Sid. Now, you can help Black Pine meet Mamie's needs now and into the future.
All donations to our Black Bear Fund to help Mamie and the other five resident bears into the future will be matched, dollar for dollar, up to $5,000!
